2024 Geroscience Los Angeles Meeting (GLAM) |
The Geroscience Los Angeles Meeting (GLAM), is a trainee-focused meeting, with the purpose to help unite and synergize the geroscience community in the greater LA area. The LA area hosts a rich panel of aging research laboratories, across top research institutions including (but not limited to) the USC Leonard Davis School of Gerontology, UCLA, Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, Caltech, UCR, UCI and UCSB. GLAM’s goal is to bring trainees together across these campuses to participate in this new and innovative platform. The keynote address will be presented by Cedars-Sinai investigator, Helen Goodridge, PhD. Our investigators will present their work focused on geroscience and in line with this year’s theme: “The Fortitude Factor.” GSA has selected Sara Espinoza, MD, director of Cedars-Sinai’s Center for Translational Geroscience, as a 2024 Fellow in health sciences. The fellow status is a peer recognition for outstanding contributions to the field of gerontology and represents the highest category of GSA membership. California Academic Geriatrics Institutions Conference |
The purpose of the California Geriatrics Institutions Conference is to promote the sharing of best practices for geriatrics clinical care, state-of-the-art research, and innovative educational methods. An overarching goal of the conference is to provide a collegial environment for trainees and junior faculty to present their academic work to peers and to foster networking. Los Angeles Aging Research Alliance
Our center is also engaged in aging research collaborations with investigators from other academic institutions in Los Angeles through the Los Angeles Aging Research Alliance.
